🎢 Apple (-3.5% after hours) and Amazon (-4.0%) look set to shed over $100 billion in market cap after hours. Apple fell after revenue missed expectations, being weighed down by supply chain concerns, while Amazon fell after delivering lower-than-consensus revenue forecasts for the coming quarters.
📣 Facebook just announced a name-change to “Meta Platforms”, to “better reflect” their range of offerings (as a ‘metaverse’ company that brings people together). The ticker will accordingly change from ‘FB’ to ‘MVRS’ as well.
🤔 A leaked photo from Facebook/Meta shows that the company is planning to develop a smartwatch in direct competition with the Apple Watch. The difference? Meta’s new watch apparently has… a front facing camera.
